We're trying to create thumbnails from .wmv windows media files using mediaprocessor but we're finding that it is only working with the .wmv's that have been encoded with the more recent versions of the codec ie. WM9 and WM10.
We have tried installing the windows media 8 codec but mediaprocessor still can't create a thumbnail of files created with that codec..
Anyone any ideas?

Could you submit case with an example of this file (or link to download it from if it is too large)?

Many thanks, I have sent it through. I have since found that it is inconsistent regarding these files but that it is still providing no real information as to why if fails on some occasions.
