Our recommendation is Dual, because it provides the higher level of compatibility with max amount of client platforms.

As you see in addition to the license you may need to purchase additional connectors. Read about domain connectors and server connectors to learn how to calculate the correct amount of them to purchase. Also, Image Uploader purchase dialog helps to order the proper number of connectors.

Upgrade

Before upgrading Image Uploader, refer the Upgrade page. It explains all possible upgrade paths and describes our special upgrade offers (for customers who purchased version 5 in 2009).

In short, the upgrade policy is the following - you should get the same items as if you purchase the product from a scratch, but 40% discount is applied to the list price. In some cases the discount may applied to a part of the order or the discount size may be different. Refer the upgrade policy or request upgrade if you are not sure.

Crossgrade

If you purchase less complete edition of Image Uploader, you may decide to crossgrade it in future into more advanced version. For example, to convert Image Uploader Java 6 Express to Dual 6 Professional. 

There are two possible directions of the crossgrade:

1. By technology (from ActiveX or Java to Dual).
2. By license plan (from Express to Standard or Professional, or from Standard to Professional).

Crossgrade can be done only in one direction at one time. For example, Java 6 Express to Java 6 Standard, or Java 6 Express to Java 6 Dual. If you need to crossgrade in both direction (e.g. like in the example in the beginning of this section), you should split your order into two crossgrades. First you crossgrade the technology, next you crossgrade the license plan. 

Crossgrades can be done only within one major version. So if you have previous version of Image Uploader, you should upgrade first, and then crossgrade as described here.
