Rotate Images Before Upload

When shooting photos, your users may sometimes rotate the camera to get a portrait-oriented perspective. Unfortunately, some website upload solutions don't always understand this artistic intent. Since photos are usually stored as album-oriented pictures in the camera, they must be rotated before they're uploaded to a website.

Of course, users can easily rotate photos in their favorite image editor, however, most of them are too lazy to do it every time they copy photos from cameras to their computers. Fortunately, Image Uploader helps to resolve this issue.

First of all, if a camera is capable of recognizing photo orientation, and saves it in EXIF metadata, Image Uploader rotates those photos automatically. But even if there is no orientation data available, the user still can rotate a photo with a single click. When they hover a mouse pointer over a thumbnail, rotation icons appear.

Depending on its settings, Image Uploader can either upload rotated photos, or send original files and the angle the photo should be rotated to. Whenever possible, rotation is made without JPEG recompression, so photo quality does not degrade.
