New Product Name
We have changed the name of our product from “Image Uploader” to “Upload Suite”. The new name better describes the fact that Aurigma can upload not just images, but any other content type imaginable. It also reflects the wide array of PC/Mac uploaders we have in our arsenal (see below).
New Uploaders
Now Upload Suite is more versatile with Flash and HTML5 uploaders. Version 8 lets you use any of four uploaders (Flash, HTML5, Java, ActiveX) under the same license!
Version 8’s Flash uploader API remains the same as that found in Image Uploader 7 Flash. The API for HTML5 uploader copies the API of the Flash version, although certain features (and therefore API members) may be missing. Refer to the documentation for more details.
Simplified Licensing Plans
Only 3 licensing plans remain: Express, Professional and Premium. All Print license customers with the maintenance subscription are upgraded to Premium.
Customers who prefer using Flash/HTML5 uploaders can now purchase not just the Professional license, but also the inexpensive Express license. Or, if it makes more sense for them, they can take the opposite path and go for the server-wide Premium license. Likewise customers who use the ActiveX/Java version have the same licensing options.
