# BaseUploadControl.TempDirectory Property HTML5/Flash Uploader ASP.NET

Gets or sets a path to the folder where the upload session cache should be saved.

The path to the folder where [BaseUploadControl](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/FH_T_Aurigma_ImageUploaderFlash_BaseUploadControl.htm.md) saves the upload session cache.
 
Default value is **"~/App\_Data/UploadCache/"**.
 
## Remarks
  
By the moment when the [FileUploaded](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/FH_E_Aurigma_ImageUploaderFlash_BaseUploadControl_FileUploaded.htm.md) or [AllFilesUploaded](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/FH_E_Aurigma_ImageUploaderFlash_BaseUploadControl_AllFilesUploaded.htm.md) event is fired, the [BaseUploadControl](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/FH_T_Aurigma_ImageUploaderFlash_BaseUploadControl.htm.md) has already completed parsing of HTTP POST request(s) and saved files to a temporary folder specified by this property. Then, when you call the [ConvertedFile.SaveAs(String)](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/FH_M_Aurigma_ImageUploaderFlash_ConvertedFile_SaveAs_1_bb3a7a4f.htm.md) or [ConvertedFile.MoveTo(String)](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/FH_M_Aurigma_ImageUploaderFlash_ConvertedFile_MoveTo_1_bb3a7a4f.htm.md) method, files from this temporary folder are copied or moved to the specified path. Thus, it is recommended to select temporary folder on the same disk where your file storage is located.
 
This recommendation is also appropriate for autosave functionality.
