# fileSettings.acl Property HTML5/Flash Uploader JavaScript

Gets or sets an Amazon S3 access control list. Options include `private`, `public-read`, `public-read-write`, and `authenticated-read`.

## Syntax

            acl: "private",

```

Type: **String**
 
The Amazon S3 access control list.
 
Default value is **"private"**.
