# converter.thumbnailCopyExif Property HTML5/Flash Uploader JavaScript

Gets or sets a value indicating whether the thumbnail should contain EXIF metadata copied from the original file.

## Syntax
 
```
$au.imageUploaderFlash({
    converters : [
        {
            //...other params...
            thumbnailCopyExif: false,
            //...other params...
        }
    ]
})
```

```
$au.imageUploaderFlash('uploaderID').converters().set(index).thumbnailCopyExif(value);
value = $au.imageUploaderFlash('uploaderID').converters().get(index).thumbnailCopyExif();
```
 
### Property Value
 
Type: **Boolean**
 
If `true`, the EXIF information is copied from the original file. Otherwise, EXIF metadata will not be preserved.
 
Default value is **false**.

## Remarks
 
This property makes sense only if the [mode](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/FH_P_J_$au_converter_mode.htm.md) property has the `Thumbnail` value.
