# messages.cannotReadFile Property HTML5/Flash Uploader JavaScript

Gets or sets the message displayed when the read file error occurs.

## Syntax
 
```
$au.imageUploaderFlash({
    messages: {
        //...other params...
        cannotReadFile: "Cannot read file: {0}.",
        //...other params...
    }
})
```

```
$au.imageUploaderFlash('uploaderID').messages().cannotReadFile(value);
value = $au.imageUploaderFlash('uploaderID').messages().cannotReadFile();
```
 
### Property Value
 
Type: **String**
 
The message displayed when the read file error occurs.
 
To be able to display additional information in this error message, special placeholder is used:
 
- *{0}*
    - replaced by the name of the file which cannot be read.

Default value is **"Cannot read file: {0}."**.
