# messages.maxTotalFileSizeExceeded Property HTML5/Flash Uploader JavaScript

Gets or sets a message which states that the total size of selected files is too large.

## Syntax
 
```
$au.imageUploaderFlash({
    messages: {
        //...other params...
        maxTotalFileSizeExceeded: "Not all files were added. Maximum total file size ({0}) was exceeded.",
        //...other params...
    }
})
```

```
$au.imageUploaderFlash('uploaderID').messages().maxTotalFileSizeExceeded(value);
value = $au.imageUploaderFlash('uploaderID').messages().maxTotalFileSizeExceeded();
```
 
### Property Value
 
Type: **String**
 
The string explaining that the total size of selected files is too large (i.e. exceeds the [maxTotalFileSize](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/FH_P_J_$au_restrictions_maxTotalFileSize.htm.md) value). To disable this message, set it to an empty string. It can contain the following placeholder:
 
- *[name]*
    - replaced by the name of the file which cannot be added.

Default value is **"Not all files were added. Maximum total file size ({0}) was exceeded."**.

## Remarks
 
This property is necessary for localization of HTML5/Flash Uploader.
