# metadata Properties HTML5/Flash Uploader JavaScript
The [metadata](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/FH_T_J_$au_metadata.htm.md) type exposes the following properties.

|  | [valueSeparator](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/FH_P_J_$au_metadata_valueSeparator.htm.md) | Gets or sets a sequence of characters used to separate strings stored in one metadata field (such as **IptcKeyword**). |
