# Converter Class HTML5/Flash Uploader PHP

Supported technologies: ![Adobe Flash](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/icons/flash.png)![HTML 5](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/icons/html5.png)

This class represents a file converter.

For a list of all members of this class, see [Converter Members](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/FH_AllMembers_T_P_Converter.htm.md).

## Syntax

```
class Converter {
}
```

## Remarks

HTML5/Flash Uploader allows sending up to three so-called *converted files* for each of the user-selected files. These files are configured using the [Converters](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/FH_P_P_ImageUploaderFlash_Converters.htm.md) property of the [ImageUploaderFlash](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/FH_T_P_ImageUploaderFlash.htm.md) object. This property accepts a collection of [Converter](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/FH_T_P_Converter.htm.md) instances. Each converter describes one file (source, thumbnail, icon, or ZIP archive) to be uploaded for every file the user selects.

For instance, you set the following collection of converters:
 ```
$uploader = new ImageUploaderFlash("Uploader1");
$converters = &$uploader->getConverters();
$converter = new Converter();
$converter->setMode("*.*=SourceFile");
$converters[] = $converter;
$converter = new Converter();
$converter->setMode("*.*=Thumbnail;*.*=Icon");
$converter->setThumbnailWidth(120);
$converter->setThumbnailHeight(120);
$converter->setThumbnailFitMode("Fit");
$converters[] = $converter;
```
It means that HTML5/Flash Uploader will send an original file and its resized copy or icon. So if a user selects two files (a JPEG image and a PDF document) HTML5/Flash Uploader will send four files:

- the JPEG image and the PDF file themselves,
- a resized copy of the image and a PDF icon.
