# thumbnail.writeHtml Method ActiveX/Java Uploader JavaScript

Supported browsers: ![Internet Explorer](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/icons/ie8.png)![Firefox](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/icons/firefox.png)![Google Chrome](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/icons/chrome.png)![Safari](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/icons/safari.png)

Generates the HTML code which will embed the [thumbnail](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/JA_T_J_$au_thumbnail.htm.md) control and writes this code directly into the page.

## Syntax

```
$au.thumbnail('uploaderID').writeHtml();
```

## Remarks

**Note**
As soon as you call the [writeHtml()](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/JA_M_J_$au_thumbnail_writeHtml.htm.md), all necessary HTML code is inserted into the page at the current position. Alternatively, you can get the string with appropriate HTML code using the [getHtml()](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/JA_M_J_$au_thumbnail_getHtml.htm.md) method, and write it to the necessary position manually (maybe with some modifications).
