# Restrictions.MaxFileSize Property ActiveX/Java Uploader ASP.NET

Gets or sets a maximum file size allowed for upload to the server.

## Syntax

public long MaxFileSize { get; set; }
```

Type: [System..Int64](http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/6yy583ek)
 
The maximum size (in bytes) for files allowed for upload. If the value is `0`, then there is no limit.
 
**Note** 
When you set the value that is more than 2 Gb, it is recommended to pass such value as a string.
 
Default value is **0**.
 
## Remarks
  
**Note** 
ActiveX/Java Uploader Express restricts the maximum size of each user-selected file to 100 Mb. ActiveX/Java UploaderProfessional restricts the maximum size of each user-selected file to 2 Gb. This property limits only a single file. If you want to set limit for all selected files, use the [MaxTotalFileSize](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/JA_P_Aurigma_ImageUploader_Restrictions_MaxTotalFileSize.htm.md) property.
