# Uploader.EnableFileViewer Property ActiveX/Java Uploader ASP.NET

Gets or sets a value indicating whether to open the file in associated viewer software when it is double-clicked.

## Syntax
  
```csharp
public bool EnableFileViewer { get; set; }
```

Type: [System..Boolean](http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/a28wyd50)
 
If `true`, the file is opened in the external file viewer by double-clicking. Otherwise, double-click causes nothing.
 
Default value is **true**.

If subfolders are shown ([FolderProcessingMode](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/JA_P_Aurigma_ImageUploader_Uploader_FolderProcessingMode.htm.md) is [Show](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/JA_T_Aurigma_ImageUploader_FolderProcessingMode.htm.md) or [Upload](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/JA_T_Aurigma_ImageUploader_FolderProcessingMode.htm.md)) double-clicking subfolders navigates to them regardless of the EnableFileViewer value.
