Gets or sets a unique identifier of the [thumbnail](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/JA_T_J_$au_thumbnail.htm.md) control.

## Syntax

$au.thumbnail({

```

$au.thumbnail('thumbnailID').id(value);
value = $au.thumbnail('thumbnailID').id();

Type: **String**
 
The unique identifier of the control.
 
Default value is **""**.

## Remarks
 
This identifier is obligatiry set during initialization and used to refer to the **thumbnail** control at runtime and, thus, modify its parameters, call methods, and handle events through JavaScript.
