# uploader.backgroundColor Property ActiveX/Java Uploader JavaScript

Gets or sets a background color of ActiveX/Java Uploader panes and editors.

## Syntax
 
```
$au.uploader({
    //...other params...
    backgroundColor: "#ffffff",
    //...other params...
})
```
 
### Property Value
 
Type: **String**
 
The background color of the following elements:
 
- all the panes;
- image editor;
- description editor;
- search box;
- files adding and files uploading dialogs.

The color string should be specified in a hex representation of the RGB triad in HTML-style syntax (#rrggbb).
 
Default value is **"#ffffff"**.
