# uploader.enableCheckByClick Property ActiveX/Java Uploader JavaScript

Gets or sets a value indicating whether the mode, which allows to select a file for upload by clicking on it, is enabled or not.

## Syntax
 
```
$au.uploader({
    //...other params...
    enableCheckByClick: false,
    //...other params...
})
```

```
$au.uploader('uploaderID').enableCheckByClick(value);
value = $au.uploader('uploaderID').enableCheckByClick();
```
 
### Property Value
 
Type: **Boolean**
 The value indicating whether the mode, which allows to select a file for upload by clicking on it, is enabled or not. 
Default value is **false**.

## Remarks
 
In this mode files cannot be opened by double-clicking.
