# uploader.enableStatusPane Property ActiveX/Java Uploader JavaScript

Gets or sets a value indicating whether the status pane should be displayed.

## Syntax
 
```
$au.uploader({
    //...other params...
    enableStatusPane: true,
    //...other params...
})
```
 
### Property Value
 
Type: **Boolean**
 
If `true`, the status pane is displayed in both layouts; otherwise, it is hidden.
 
Default value is **true**.
