# ConvertedFile.Width Property ActiveX/Java Uploader PHP
 
Gets an actual width (in pixels) of this converted file if it is an image.

## Syntax
 
```
public function getWidth() {
}
```
 
### Property Value
 
Type: **string**
 
The actual width of this converted file if it is an image. Otherwise, this property returns `0`.

## Remarks
 
Depending on the [ThumbnailFitMode](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/JA_P_P_Converter_ThumbnailFitMode.htm.md), this value may differ from the value specified through the [ThumbnailWidth](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/JA_P_P_Converter_ThumbnailWidth.htm.md) property. This happens because ActiveX/Java Uploader preserves the aspect ratio of the image and seldom can use the same dimensions as specified in the converter parameters.
