# Converter.ThumbnailCopyIptc Property ActiveX/Java Uploader PHP

Gets or sets a value indicating whether the thumbnail should contain IPTC metadata copied from the original file.

## Syntax
 
```
public function getThumbnailCopyIptc() {
}

public function setThumbnailCopyIptc($value) {
}
```
 
### Property Value
 
Type: **boolean**
 
If `true`, the IPTC information is copied from the original file. Otherwise, IPTC metadata will not be preserved.
 
Default value is **true**.

## Remarks
 
This property makes sense only if the [Mode](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/JA_P_P_Converter_Mode.htm.md) property has the `Thumbnail` value.
