# Messages.MaxFileSizeExceeded Property ActiveX/Java Uploader PHP

Gets or sets a message which states that a user tries to select a file which is too big.

## Syntax
 
```
public function getMaxFileSizeExceeded() {
}

public function setMaxFileSizeExceeded($value) {
}
```
 
### Property Value
 
Type: **string**
 
This message states that a user tries to select too large file (i.e. the file size exceeds the [MaxFileSize](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/JA_P_P_Restrictions_MaxFileSize.htm.md) value). To disable this message, set it to an empty string. It can contain the following placeholder:
 
- *[name]*
    - replaced by the name of the file which cannot be added.

Default value is **"The file '[name]' cannot be selected. This file size exceeds the limit."**.

## Remarks
 
This property is necessary for localization of ActiveX/Java Uploader.
