# UploadedFile.RelativePath Property ActiveX/Java Uploader PHP

Gets a relative path to this user-selected file on the client machine.

## Syntax

```
public function getRelativePath() {
}
```

### Property Value

Type: **string**

The relative path to this user-selected file.

## Remarks

This property makes sense only if the folder upload feature is turned on ([Uploader.FolderProcessingMode](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/JA_P_P_Uploader_FolderProcessingMode.htm.md) is `upload`) and the user-selected file is located inside a subfolder. In that case this property contains a relative path to this file and the [SourceName](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/JA_P_P_UploadedFile_SourceName.htm.md) represents its filename. For example, if the user sends a `My Documents\My Photos\00001.jpg` file its **SourceName\_*i*** POST field will contain `My Documents\My Photos\00001.jpg` value. However, the [RelativePath](https://www.aurigma.com/docs/us8/JA_P_P_UploadedFile_RelativePath.htm.md) property will contain `My Documents\My Photos\` value.
