# UploadedFile.SourceName Property ActiveX/Java Uploader PHP
 
Gets a name of this user-selected file.

## Syntax

public function getSourceName() {
}
```

Type: **string**
 
The name of this user-selected file.

## Remarks
 
It is useful to employ this property to get name of the original file when only resized copy of an image is uploaded.
